I am utterly amazed at the pace of change today. Sharing and access to information for and among human beings in the modern world is happening at speed beyond imagination. The rapid changes in technologies and processes is allowing similar changes in Social media marketing techniques. Is Google phenomenon a game changer? Who knows. Most probably, it needs lots of deliberations.
Most people think that Facebook and Twitter are the only Social media agencies. Although there are lots of these kinds of sites, still it is a fraction of the social media. Facebook and Twitter cannot rival with a large number of blogs, news sites, forums, chat rooms, and YouTube videos.
The real meaning of social media includes blogs, chat rooms, forums, YouTube, and other sites such as Facebook and Twitter. Is Facebook the most suitable site for any business? What about Facebook? MySpace? The answer to any is maybe…but one cannot reason that you can likely reach your prospects, customers, partners, vendors, suppliers, employees (and everyone else of interest) through the millions of sites since everyone is online in a variety of ways. The important part is to figure out and deal with this big process. The initial sense that one gets to reach likely customers is how to communicate through these million of sites. A social media company is the best medium to reach out to millions of customers and fans throughout the globe.
If done in the best way, it can be implemented. And oh, by the way, once you break the code of locating your constituent base and delivering meaningful and relevant content to them via their favorite online site, you have unlocked the door which several don’t even try to open. It is not a simple task and it takes time to implement. But start thinking about where your key contacts hang out online…and make a list of those sites. Then go in and work with them…on their own turf…
